‘Elementary’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Inside Out’ favorite to play not-so-nice neighbor
Richard Kind has done so much great work over the years, but we still think 2015 may be a time of his life he remembers especially fondly. In addition to voicing a particularly memorable character in Bing Bong in Disney – Pixar’s “Inside Out,” he has also played a rather-intimidated Mayor on “Gotham.” Now, he’s also got a gig over on “Elementary.”
According to a new report coming in right now from TVLine, Kind has been cast in the role of Trent Carson, a “gruff” florist who after feeling rather bothered by Holmes and Watson for an extended period of time, decides that he wants to take action in his own way. As for what that necessarily implies, it’s a little too early to tell … but it sounds funny.
While “Inside Out” proved that Kind can work the tear-ducts of any given audience with his performance, he’s also probably best remembered by us for his work making us laugh on “Spin City.” Therefore, we’re hoping to get a combination of these two things in this role. Also, we really just feel like anything to boost the ratings of “Elementary” is something we should celebrate. Its numbers are low to begin with, but the show has been ravaged ever since its premiere by NFL preemptions and competing against shows like “How to Get Away with Murder.”
There is no word just yet on when Kind’s episode in particular is going to air. However, we know that next week marks the winter finale (watch a promo for it here), and there will be many episodes in the new year. There has to be, given that the show has as a whole 24 hours in its season order.
