‘The X Factor’ UK results: Were Che Chesterman, Lauren Murray, Reggie ‘n Bollie eliminated before final?

X Factor -

There are many “X Factor” results shows that tend to drag on for a lengthy period of time, but we feel especially this way about the one at the top 4. After all, this is the only one of the season at this point where you can really say you are so close.

With that in mind, there were other ways for ITV to fill up the broadcast. We began with performances from Lionel Richie, Jason Derulo, and Sia, which you can read a little bit more about by heading over to the link here. Meanwhile, they also showed a film highlighting some of the charitable efforts that go into making the winner’s single for the year. This part of the show is something we appreciate, mostly because it is a nice contrast to the gaudy lights and over-production that make up this show. It keeps things in perspective.

After all of this took place, we got to the results. Reggie ‘n Bollie were the first act confirmed to be going through to the final! We did not expect that (or at least them to be the first act declared safe) to say the least, given that they probably had more negative feedback than anyone at the start of last night’s show. Still, we’re happy; they could actually be commercial stars after this and they’re just so fun to watch.

Following the boys, we learned that Louisa Johnson will be advancing, as well! This one was a little more predictable. It came down to Che Chesterman and Lauren Murray, two singers who have been in danger on the show before.

It was obvious that the vote was going to do to deadlock, and that the performances were mostly useless. The judges don’t want the blood on their hands at this point. Che is moving on, and Lauren is sent home. We do think he had the better performance tonight, but Lauren probably has a better shot of selling records in the industry.
