‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: Prepare to meet Sylvester’s father!

Are you hoping to see some more of Sylvester’s past on “Scorpion” season 2? Then we feel like this update could be music to your ears.

According to a new report from TVLine, the CBS hit is in the process of casting an actor, likely someone in their fifties, to play the part of the character’s hard-nosed military father. He is strict, and has almost nothing in common with his son. Therefore, the two find it extremely difficult to forge any sort of deeper bond. The irony here is that while Robert Patrick is a regular on this show, in many ways it feels almost like he would be perfect for this part based on his character history. (We’ll take him as Cabe any day over this.)

As a whole this has been an incredibly eventful season for the Sylvester character so far. Just look at everything that he has been up to so far this season! He had the whole undercover mission in the prison, and then there was also the extremely emotional storyline with Megan over the past episode or two. This is not over yet, either, and it will be important once more on “Arrivals and Departures,” the next new episode of the show that is airing in a week’s time.

Given where the show is in production at the moment, we anticipate that we will not be seeing this character on the show until at some point in the new year.
