‘Shark Tank’ video: AfreSHeet faces off with Kevin O’Leary
Before we get around to “Shark Tank” airing on ABC Friday night, why not go ahead and share one more sneak peek?
The video below highlights a particular innovation known as AfreSHeet, which carries with it a fairly self-explanatory design: It’s a sheet that you can peel away layers of in the event they get messy. It’s basically a perfect way to ensure that stuff doesn’t get ruined if you are messy, or if you are in a place where it is not convenient to have a lot of sheets nearby.
While the product founder pitches to the Sharks, he tries to make the argument that he has already found a variety of interesting applications in other countries, including for hospitals and for ambulances. However, he’s not planning on pushing for that in America; instead, his focus is more towards the dormitory market, and students who don’t necessarily have either the time or the consideration to change out their sheets on a regular basis.
Is this guy going to find precisely that market? The Sharks don’t seem to be sold. Mark Cuban tells him in the sneak peek that he’s out, while Kevin O’Leary refers to it as a “dog” and recommend that he does away with it as soon as humanly possible. Robert Herjavec, meanwhile, seems more interested. We do think that there could be some out there who are interested, but part of the problem would be convincing them to buy it. We feel like people when shopping like to be the best versions of themselves, and claim that they wouldn’t be sloppy or messy
