NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Were Viktor Kiraly, Amy Vachal, or Morgan Frazier eliminated?
We have some not-so-stunning news for you in kick off this results-show review of “The Voice“: The whole Coach Comeback twist meant absolutely nothing. Maybe if Blake Shelton brought back Krista Hughes things could’ve been different, but alas…
For the most part, we’d say that we are not entirely surprised by America’s votes alongside the judges tonight, but whether or not we approve of many of them is an entirely different story.
Team Adam Levine – Jordan Smith and Shelby Brown saved by America, while Adam picked Amy Vachal. This one was more or less cut-and-dry. No surprise here.
Team Gwen Stefani – Jeffrey Austin and Braiden Sunshine saved by America, while Gwen picked Korin Bukowski. We’re stunned Viktor Kiraly is already gone, but not so stunned that America went for the “aw, shucks” vote and kept Braiden around even though he’s clearly over his head.
Team Blake Shelton – Barrett Baber and Zach Seabaugh saved by America, while Blake picked Emily Ann Roberts. This may be the first time we can remember that someone with a top 10 single on iTunes was not saved outright. It was the only move Blake could make.
Team Pharrell Williams – Madi Davis and Evan McKeel saved by America, while Pharrell picked Mark Hood. Solid decisions all around, and next to Adam’s we’d say that this is the most predictable series of moves.
So we’ve got a top 12 moving into next week that should be reasonably competitive … at least in the race to third place. Barrett and Jordan are so going to be the top two, which we suppose at least makes this battle slightly more competitive than last season when Sawyer Fredericks was doing laps around everyone else.
