NBC’s ‘The Voice’ iTunes results: Emily Ann Roberts, Barrett Baber, Zach Seabuagh win big

VoiceTypically on “The Voice” iTunes results are a big indicator of whether or not an artist stays or goes, and when looking at both Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams’ teams, it appears now that there are a few favorites to advance … and also that the coaches will have some tough decisions to make.

For Blake, we would be a little hesitant to declare Emily Ann Roberts and Barrett Baber safe despite being #6 and #17 on iTunes at the time of this article. However, we’re going to do it because Emily has enough distance and a top-10 spot, while Barrett performed last and probably had a lot of votes. Zach Seabaugh, another country singer from Blake’s team, did still generate an impressive finish at #21 with “Brand New Girlfriend.” We think that if Blake is a businessman and looks at these charts (trust us, he does), these three are probably going to be the three who make it to the semifinals. You have look down into the 70’s to find any other artists from his team.

As for Pharrell, Madi Davis is the only person in the top 30, and that should make her a clear lock to advance. We’re a little surprised to see Celeste Betton at #36, even ahead of Evan McKeel at #42. (Then again, she covered a Carrie Underwood song; even covering songs from country artists get big sales!) That race is going to be a little too close to call, but the thing we’re most disappointing about is the placement of Mark Hood and Darius Scott pretty low on the list despite interesting, innovative performances.
