‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Can Theo Galavan unlock major truth for Bruce Wayne?

Theo -

Moving into the end of “Gotham” season 2’s run in 2015, there are many questions that we are inevitably curious about. Take, for example, whether or not Bruce Wayne is ever going to learn who murdered his parents.

Could Theo Galavan be key in some way to figuring it out? The synopsis for the upcoming November 16 episode entitled “A Bitter Pill to Swallow” suggests that it is at least possible:

“Gordon and Barnes continue cleaning up Gotham, and Gordon comes face-to-face with one of the city’s most dangerous hitmen, Eduardo Flamingo (guest star Raul Castillo). Meanwhile, Nygma and Penguin cross paths again, and Bruce pressures Galavan into handing over the name of his parents’ murderer.”

Of course, we’re also excited about the meeting between the future Riddler and Penguin, even if it remains somewhat ambiguous as to what direction Nygma is going to go in the short-term. We do know for now that he remains tortured over what happened to Kris Kringle, but maybe that could give him some common ground with Oswald, who recently lost his mother. Granted, there is a fundamental difference here in that Nygma killed the person he loved, whereas Oswald was trying to protect her. He just got way too far in over his head and couldn’t start to see a way out anymore.

We’ll get a chance to see more of what brings these characters to this place on Monday, when “Gotham” airs the latest episode entitled “Tonight’s the Night.”
