TV Quick Hits: ‘The 100’ season 3, ‘Agent Carter’ season 2 casting scoop; Dana Carvey reality competition to USA
“The 100” season 3 scoop – Fans of “Home and Away” can prepare to see Rhiannon Fish take on a very different sort of role on the third season of The CW’s post-apocalyptic drama.
As first reported by TheWrap, she is playing the role of a “young warrior grounder” by the name of Ontari. She will be extremely loyal to her own people, but at the same time she is extremely skilled at deceiving others. With that sort of combination in mind, she is clearly the sort of person you want to keep on your side.
The third season of this show does not have a premiere date just yet, but we would project we’ll learn more about it at some point before the Christmas holiday.
“Agent Carter” news – Let’s keep the casting news coming by heading over to ABC. This time around, they are getting Ken Marino on board.
The often-comedic actor, who is coming off of “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp,” will be playing the part of a mob boss named Joseph Manfredi. Let’s just say he is someone Hayley Atwell’s title character will have some trouble with. In a statement to Variety, executive producers Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, and Chris Dingess said the following:
“We’ve loved working with Ken ever since he played a gay ex-demon for us on ‘Reaper,’ and we were so happy he was available for this role … His range is incredible — he can go from comedy to romance to drama with ease. Writing for him is easy, because he can do pretty much anything. And he used to have a karaoke room in his house, which makes him even more awesome.”
Dana Carvey returning to TV – Specifically, he is going to be a part of an upcoming reality competition on USA entitled “First Impressions,” where the premise is simple: Watching amateur impressionists duke it out and help determine who is the best. The “Saturday Night Live” alumni is known for this sort of thing, so it will be more than interesting to see how he fares.
