‘Arrow’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Brandon Routh returns; Oliver, Felicity conflict arises

Ray -

Wednesday night’s new episode of “Arrow” was a blast in between the appearance of John Constantine and what he was able to do to save Sara, but there was also a big Ray Palmer-specific cliffhanger at the end of the hour: He was alive! Unfortunately, he was in a position where he may need a little bit of help.

During next week’s new episode entitled “Lost Souls,” you are going to learn specifically what happened to him, and also see at the same time whether or not Sara and Thea can handle being out in the field as a result of what happened to them in the Lazarus Pit. The synopsis below gives you some early insight into what the story could be:

“Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is frantic when she learns that Ray (guest star Brandon Routh) is alive and being held by Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). Felicity’s guilt over not finding Ray sooner causes tension between her and Oliver (Stephen Amell). Meanwhile, Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) joins Laurel (Katie Cassidy), Thea (Willa Holland) and the team on a rescue mission for Ray. However, the effects of the Lazarus Pit take over and threaten to jeopardize the entire operation.”

This story, much in the same way that we’ve seen with Sara’s resurrection, is going to play heavily into the beginnings of “Legends of Tomorrow.” Is it frustrating in a way that so much of “Arrow” is being spent right now setting up another show? We suppose so, but we’re not as enraged since these are characters we do already care very much about.
