‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 4 video: Iris West meets her mother

To say that Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash” has some emotional moments would be an understatement. After all, Iris West seeing her mother is certainly something she never thought was possible after long believing that she was dead.

However, the meeting between Iris and Francine is not exactly a happy one. In the sneak-peek video below, Candice Patton’s character makes it clear to her mom that while she wishes her well, she does not see any reason for the two to suddenly have a deeper relationship than they do. She creates about as much distance with her words as possible, all while her father Joe sits nearby.

We have a hard time thinking that this is the last we see of Francine, and for so many reasons. For one, why is she really coming back at this particular moment in time? Are her motives as genuine as she claims that they are? Given her history, you have to be skeptical of what she wants much in the way that Joe is. If she is well-meaning, that is something she is ultimately going to have to prove over time.

We’ll have some other news all about this episode of “The Flash” in the near future, so our advice for now is pretty simple: Stay tuned! Hopefully, tonight’s episode will be a nice mixture of emotional moments like this and also others, where you get to see the characters kick some butt and take names.
