‘Faking It’ season 2, episode 19 preview: Can Amy corral Karma?
“Faking It” has not exactly made it a secret that Karma is going to be going off the rails at some point this season. The MTV comedy showed part of the scene below in some of their trailers, and little nuggets have been planted almost from the beginning of episode 11. Her relationship with Liam has fallen apart, her family’s business has floundered, and she is just off of having a threesome with a guy she likes and also her male, gay friend.
So is it really that shocking that she’d get into table-dancing? Probably not. The latest sneak peek for Monday’s episode is a sign that she is going too far, and is really just resorting now to partying and being “free” to try to take her mind off of everything that has happened to her. We understand that to a certain degree, but you’ve got a set a limit for yourself that comes up before you start to climb on the table.
There may be one other reason why Karma is slowly watching her world burn, and we’d be interested to see the show explore in more: Whether or not she has been harboring / hiding secret feelings for Amy that stem back to episode 10. Think about how she wanted to go to prom with Amy, and also how she reacted to her getting closer to Felix. Sure, there is much more to it than this when you think about all of the struggles in her own personal life, but there are at least some signs that this could be an issue. She was also not that resistant to faking the relationship again, even though she knew what the ramifications could be.
We’ll have a review for this episode up on Monday. Be on the lookout for it!
