Netflix releases trailer for Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones,’ and it’s intense
We first heard earlier this week that Marvel was going to unveil their first-ever trailer for “Jessica Jones,” and by that, we mean the first video that really focuses on the story of the show. They’ve released a few teasers here and there, but they have been for the most part a little more lighthearted and have not really focused much on the story of the show.
The trailer here is different, since it gives you multiple different layers of who Jessica is as a character. She’s someone with a desire to do good (her working as a private investigator proves that), but she’s haunted repeatedly by the infamous Kilgrave, a man who has made her do a variety of terrible things against her will. He has completely dominated her brain, and it’s not clear if she is ever going to be able to fully escape his grasp. As the trailer goes on, as a matter of fact, it looks more like he is going to continue to take more and more from her to the point where she may not have that much left at all.
The cast for this show, aside from lead Krysten Ritter, includes “The Good Wife’s” Mike Colter as Luke Cage (who will eventually star on his own show) and Rachael Taylor of “666 Park Avenue” / “Charlie’s Angels” fame. The trailer, in a word, is awesome. It’s the sort of thing that should really have you amped for what Netflix wants to deliver to you the rest of the season. All episodes will be available on November 20, and we’re going to give you a wide array of reviews for these particular installments.
