ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 6 preview: Adam Baldwin returns in ‘Cool Boys’

Let’s start this particular “Castle” story with a reminder: There is no new episode of the show next week. We’re not entirely sure why this move is being made, but we know that there is going to be a repeat of the episode “Once Upon a Time in the West” airing in seven days’ time on ABC.

What may surprise you right now is hearing that there is no new episode of the show airing the week after, either, as that is being reserved for a CMA special on ABC. It’s an interesting move to shelve the show for two weeks, especially since you are potentially prolonging a twist that many fans do not particularly like.

Here is what we can tell you about what is coming up in the future. The next new episode will air on November 9, and per TVLine, it will be the Adam Baldwin episode entitled “Cool Boys.” It’s been seasons since we’ve seen Nathan Fillion’s former “Firefly” co-star on the show as Ethan Slaughter, and it will be interesting to see what circumstances will cause him to work with Castle once again. Rick wasn’t exactly that much of a fan the first time.

Moving beyond this particular episode, the upcoming November 16 episode is entitled “The Last Seduction,” and then after that you have “Mr. and Mrs. Castle.” These episodes are airing somewhat out of order, with the latter being the one that most longtime Castle / Beckett fans will be excited to see. The title certainly gives off a hopeful vibe.
