‘Blue Bloods’ season 6 spoilers: Is someone targeting police officers?

For those who know a lot about “Blue Bloods,” you probably are well already already that with this show, the police are always in some form of danger. This is why we have seen so many different episodes about the specific forces that they have to deal with, whether it be gangs, the media, political groups in New York City, or even sometimes just assassins.

For the upcoming third episode of season 6 entitled “All the News That’s Fit to Click” (airing October 9), what is a little bit different is that we have a case of a reporter in the media being attacked seemingly because he is a member of the police. Certainly, this is different on the surface than any other story on this subject that we’ve seen before. The synopsis below gives you a little more insight into what to expect:

“When newspaper reporter Lorenzo Colt (Zachary Booth) is targeted while wearing NYPD gear on a ride-along with Jamie and Eddie, Frank puts Danny and Baez on the hunt for the shooter who may be out for other members on the force.  Also, Garrett contemplates taking another job.”

What we do find ourselves wondering right now is whether or not this attack could actually do a rare thing and genuinely unite the NYPD and the media with a common goal of figuring out who is behind this. One of the things that is so much a part of our society now is a lack of empathy, and being attacked while disguised as a police officer may help a reporter like Lorenzo understand more of what these reporters go through on a regular basis.
