‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: Serayah promoted to series regular
There are some more changes coming at Fox’s “Empire” when it comes to its cast, and this time, we are specially speaking about Tiana.
According to a report from Deadline, the network has promoted Serayah, who plays the aspiring pop star and was one point lined to Hakeem, to a series regular for the upcoming second season. That may or may not mean that this romance is set to continue, but it does mean that Empire Entertainment probably has got some serious plans in store for them!
“Empire” is a shot at the moment that has a cast that is only getting bigger and bigger. Gabourey Sidibe and Ta’Rhonda Jones already received similar promotions earlier this summer, and then add to this the enormous guest cast for season 2 that includes the likes of Kelly Rowland, Chris Rock, Becky G, Marisa Tomei, and a variety of other familiar names. Did we mention Mariah Carey? When a show has the ratings that this one does, you do have the flexibility to do a lot of really great stuff.
When season 2 picks up, all we can really tell you is that Lucious Lyon will still be behind bars sometime removed from the events of the first season, but the battle for the Empire Entertainment throne will still be raging. Expect some significant differences of opinion, and for Cookie to continue to have the lion’s share (pun intended) of the great moments.
The new season of “Empire” will premiere on September 23 on Fox. Stay tuned for more!
