‘American Horror Story: Hotel,’ ‘The Bastard Executioner,’ ‘Fargo’ season 2 premiere dates confirmed
Curious to know when some of your favorite FX series are going to be coming on the air? The network is having their presentation today for the upcoming TCA summer press tour, and with that comes an opportunity to learn a thing or two further.
Let’s start here in sequential order with “The Bastard Executioner.” Kurt Sutter’s follow-up series to “Sons of Anarchy” is going to begin with a two-hour series premiere on Tuesday, September 15 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. It remains to be seen whether or not “The Bastard Executioner” is going to go the way of “Sons of Anarchy” and frequently air extended episodes, but for now you have to consider it at least a possibility.
As for “American Horror Story: Hotel,” you are going to have an opportunity to check in there starting on Wednesday, October 7 at 10:00. This is around the same time that all past seasons have premiered. Some of the new talent for this season (at least in terms of major roles) includes Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, and Wes Bentley. Bentley and Bomer appeared in “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” but in smaller overall parts.
Finally, let’s turn to “Fargo.” The prequel to the first season, which will focus on a devastating case back during Ronald Reagan’s rise to national acclaim, will premiere on Monday, October 12 at 10:00. This is somewhat a surprising time given that FX is not really known for Monday-night programming. We imagine that Sundays were at least considered given “The Strain” airs there during the summer, but they probably did not want to lose viewers to the NFL. Of course, there is Monday Night Football on ESPN, but it is typically not the same caliber of game.
