‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Is Clay now fighting to stay alive?

This week in the “Big Brother” house is starting to become a little more compelling than we thought it would be, and there is one simple reason for it: Clay no longer seems willing to fall on his own sword anymore.

After saying earlier in the week that he wanted to be evicted over Shelli, he is no longer making that argument, and while he is not necessarily campaigning, he did tell Austin last night that if he stays, he will not be coming after him. Austin is one of the key cogs in whatever goes down, because if he joins Meg, Jackie, Becky, and Johnny Mac in voting out Shelli (we’re not sure that all of those votes are locked-in, due to what Clay previously told John), it means that Shelli will go home and it won’t even matter what the twins do. Vanessa obviously wants the twins to convince Austin to get rid of Clay, and he at least is pitching them on the idea of keeping Clay.

Obviously there is plenty of time for all of this to change, but from our vantage point it is smarter for Austin at least to have Clay around. It’s another athletic guy who could make him a little less obvious a target, and Shelli is super-tight with Vanessa. Getting rid of Shelli means that she will have to work closer with other people, and he and Steve could be two of her better options along with Clay.

Elsewhere, Shelli and Clay are kissing a lot on the live feeds … just in case you really wanted to know. Now that they have taken this jump, there’s really no stopping them.
