‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: Riley Smith scores series-regular promotion
Yesterday we found out some rather cool information about “Scorpion” from the show’s Comic-Con panel, including that on October 26 there is going to be a 90-minute episode. What’s not to be happy about there?
Granted, in this instance what we really have here is news that almost everyone probably thought had already happened: The promotion of Riley Smith to regular. This confirmation comes courtesy of Deadline, and Smith plays Paige’s son Ralph. He had a huge role at various times in the first season, and that is going to only continue more going into season 2 as these two start to become even more immersed in Team Scorpion that they were previously.
The second season will feature a time jump, but also should not waste too much time addressing at least some of the biggest important things to note from the first season’s finale, including the status of Walter with Paige. We should also see if there is a greater sense of trust and understanding built up now between Walter and Cabe given everything that the two of them went through over the course of the first season and some of their content.
New episodes of “Scorpion” start on Monday, September 21, and we do not really expect anything that is too different from what we’ve been seeing already. In other words, we look for this to really be a fun combination of action, humor, and character arcs that make this series stand out in the crowded field of CBS procedurals.
Happy for this news, and for season 2 to air? Of course, we want to hear from you! Also, head over here to get some other news when it comes to the panel from yesterday, and sign up now to join our CarterMatt email team and get weekly updates from us. (Photo: CBS.)
