‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ preview: Vicki Gunvalson deals with tragedy and more

Vicki -Monday night’s new episode of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” was not an easy one to watch for a variety of different reasons, but one of the biggest ones was seeing the news unfold about Vicki Gunvalson’s mother passing away. This is an impossible situation for almost anyone to handle, and we really feel for her that so much of it had to be revealed on-camera. As we’ve said, there’s a difference between show drama (fighting about rumors and other gossip) and then real drama like someone passing away.

What happened with Vicki’s mother is going to reverberate really throughout all of the cast on next week’s new episode, which is probably why so much of the promo below is family-based. Everyone will have to start to analyze just how much time they are spending with their children, and if they are giving them the attention that they really deserve. We see specifically Heather Dubrow realize that one of her daughters may resent Terry over the amount of time he is not around.

The synopsis below offers up a little more news on what to expect, and there may at least be a little bit of happiness in this episode courtesy of Tamra Judge preparing to become a grandmother:

“Vicki’s mother’s passing has sent shock waves throughout the OC, causing the women all to take a deeper look at their family lives. While Vicki travels to Chicago to mourn, Tamra heads north to celebrate the birth of her granddaughter. Meanwhile, Shannon continues to heal her marriage with David. Meghan tries to create a lasting memory for her stepdaughter Hayley.”
