‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6,episode 2 ratings: Did ‘Songs of Innocence’ improve from premiere?

Who -If you remember back to the premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” this season, there was a pretty constant stream of stories more or less all about the fact that “Game On, Charles” was the lowest-rated start of a season to date. Why happened? Mostly, we attribute it to the fact that you’re not getting new viewers anymore six seasons in, especially since it would take forever for people to catch up at this point. Also, you are potentially losing people who move on to other things in life.

Unfortunately for the show, the tendency for viewers to not watch live after the premiere episode continued last night with “Songs of Innocence.” The show drew a 1.0 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, which is down a tenth from the premiere but still the top-rated cable program of the night in that measure.

As we’ve said previously, we are mostly monitoring these numbers at this point for the sake of entertainment, since there is not a whole lot else to really draw from them. After all, we already know that the show has been renewed for a seventh season, and our feeling is that this should really be the show’s last given that there is only so much hell you can put these characters through.

We will have some more updates on the show throughout the week, including some further previews. Be on the lookout for some of that, and we’ll see if we do the ratings updates the rest of the way.
