‘iZombie’ season 2 spoilers: Premiere date speculation and more for Rose McIver series

Tonight, The CW is airing the season 1 finale for “iZombie,” and this marks the end of a pretty long and complicated journey that got us to this point. This show has been fun, innovative, and of course different more so than anything else. It is also coming back for a second season. While the renewal for the Rose McIver series was announced a little bit later than some of the other shows on The CW schedule, we do know with 100% certainty now that it is in fact happening.

So when will the show officially premiere? While there is no official confirmation on this just yet, we imagine that you are probably going to look around the second week of October. It will be once again on Tuesday nights after “The Flash,” so it will have that benefit at least in the fall of the lead-in.

As for what happens beyond that, we imagine that there is at least going to be a little bit of flexibility. This is a series that is only 13 episodes in, and we don’t entirely know just yet about what the show wants to do in the future. While there is some source material, this is not a literal adaptation of it by any means.

Ultimately, we imagine that there will be a whole lot more news when it comes to “iZombie” in due time. Stay tuned for more scoop on that, and also specific premiere information later in the summer.
