2015 TCA Awards: ‘The Americans,’ ‘Mad Men,’ ‘Jane the Virgin’ among nominees
Now that the first part of the TV awards season in the Critics’ Choice TV Awards is officially wrapped up, today we’re moving on the next part in the 2015 TCA Awards. The nominations were announced today for the event, which will happen come August 8 as a part of the TCA Summer Press Tour.
We cannot say that there are really any big surprises here at all. New shows like “Empire” and “Transparent” are heavily represented, and one of the real issues this show faces for the most part is that in coming off of the aforementioned show, they rarely present any major surprises. With that said, it is nice to see two CW shows nominated under Outstanding New Program, given that does not happen very often for them (if ever).
