‘iZombie’ season 1 finale spoilers: First details on Rose McIver, cast in ‘Blaine’s World’

Throughout its first season, “iZombie” has delivered a constant mixture of action, humor, and some great storytelling. All of it is leading up to “Blaine’s World,” the big finale that is going to air next week at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. It is possible that this episode could contain at least a surprise or two when it comes to the cure. Not only that, but we have one of the best showdowns that we’ve seen yet for Liv and Blaine … hence the title. (For some reason, whenever we see the word “Blaine” we think about that board from “Silicon Valley.”)

“After discovering new evidence in the Max Rager case, Liv (Rose McIver) and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) pay a visit to Vaughn Du Clark (guest star Steven Weber) at Max Rager HQ. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) continues his search for a cure. Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) makes Liv an offer she can’t refuse. Lastly, Major (Robert Buckley) finds himself in an unbelievable situation.”

Sure, we don’t find the promo below to be particularly revealing, but it does make it clear that the stakes are higher than ever! One other reason to be particularly excited about this episode is that showrunner Rob Thomas penned this episode himself, just to add that extra touch of prestige to the mix.
