‘Fuller House’: John Stamos reacts to Mary-Kate, Ashley Olsen decision
We knew that the odds of getting either Mary-Kate or Ashley Olsen on “Fuller House” were going to be fairly low. Just remember here that these are two women who by and large have shown zero interest at all in going back to acting. They’ve been working in the fashion industry for years, and while you may think that they “owe” something to the show that made them into superstars, it is somewhat crazy to ask them to change their entire career path just to give back.
Therefore, we’re not shocked that they are not coming back, and while John Stamos has to be a little bummed about it, he is also still excited about what does lie ahead for the series. Just take a look at his tweet below! He is an executive producer on the new show, which has already booked the likes of Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier, Candice Cameron Bure, and himself (in at least a small role) for the series. They also have a new home on Netflix. There is no premiere date just yet, but we imagine that it will not be at least in the immediate future.
The only thing we are slightly bummed out about is that we would liked for the Olsen twins to make at least a tiny Michelle cameo at some point, if for no other reason than that it would not take too much time out of their schedule nor force them into any commitment. Maybe that could happen at some point, but we are not holding our breath for it.
We’re still holding out some hope for Bob Saget. Having him on the show, even in a small role, is a must for us.
