2015-16 ABC Fall Schedule: ‘The Muppets’ to battle ‘NCIS’; ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Agents of SHIELD’ unchanged
As a part of their extensive upfront presentation on Tuesday, ABC made it clear what all of their plans are for the fall … let’s just say that they are not exactly that surprising. For a network that did have some ratings struggles throughout the 2014-15 season, the majority of their dates and times are not necessarily changed at all.
The biggest nights of flux are Tuesdays and Sundays, which have struggled the most in recent years outside of “Agents of SHIELD” and “Once Upon a Time.” “The Muppets” is going to make a splash potentially against “The Voice” and also “NCIS,” while “Once” is being paired now with two very different drama series in “Oil” and “Of Kings and Prophets.” We are also almost instantly worried about the new Ken Jeong comedy “Dr. Ken,” given that it is being played now in the post – “Last Man Standing” spot, which effectively killed both “Malibu Country” and “Cristela” in a very short amount of time. Things will get a little crazier come midseason, but we will post more on that coming in the near future.
