‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6: Nina Dobrev shares photos of Ian Somerhalder filming

At this point, “The Vampire Diaries” season 6 has aired a variety of fascinating, surprising episodes that have taken the relationship between Damon and Elena in all sorts of interesting directions. So where could it go leading into the finale? All we can say for sure is that it will be something that makes Elena want to seriously reconsider if her present circumstances are enough. She is already doing that, and with Nina Dobrev leaving the show, something more definitive will be happening by the time we reach the very end.

While we are sure that many teases will come of this finale before the episode airs, we do still have a new Instagram photo below via Dobrev that gives you a taste of some of her final days working with her longtime costar Ian Somerhalder.

Of course, it is far from a surprise at this point that people want to talk about the two’s relationship, but what is sometimes lost in that is that the two were co-workers and friends long before that. They have always gotten along well, and most of the negative stuff was just made up by the tabloids.

For both of them, it will probably be weird in the months ahead not working together as much; heck, the entire “Vampire Diaries” set could be strange without Nina around in the summer. Season 6 is over, but season 7 will commence production in just a few short months.
