‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Lost’ alum Maggie Grace signs on
The latest casting news for “Masters of Sex” season 2 is in, and this is someone who certainly has plenty of experience taking part in great dramas over the course of the past decade.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Maggie Grace (otherwise known as Shannon on “Lost” or from the “Taken” films) should be dropping by for at least an episode this coming season as Dr. Christine Wesh, a respected gynecologist who gets involved in a headline-grabbing case. With so many great actors leaving the cast over the past two seasons, they really needed this bump.
This is show that is set to premiere this summer, and does have a nice tradition already of grabbing some notable names as guest stars. This furthered along the resume of Rose McIver (who is now a part of “iZombie”), and it also featured for a time Sarah Silverman last season.
Grace is also someone who is familiar to Showtime audiences already, having been a part of “Californication” for a lengthy arc. Granted, this is a completely different role in a different time; in general, this is a different sort of show than any she has taken part in over the past few years.
The third season of “Masters of Sex” will begin by taking another big leap forward, and this will feature Masters (Michael Sheen) and Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) at a very different part of their lives where they have actually found some acclaim and success. The sexual revolution will be more in the headlines, and while there may still be detractors, there will also be a significantly larger crowd who respect many of their findings.
