‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Could Kol actually return?
For the latest example of that, you don’t have to look any further than the May 4 episode entitled “Fire with Fire.” As it gets near the end of this season, it will start to become more and more clear that Klaus is starting to completely lose it, feeling alone and isolated from other members of his family. As you would expect, this is certainly not good! With that being said, it is also not the biggest surprise that you are going to see in this installment. As the synopsis below reveals, though, this is not even going to be the craziest part of this episode! That honor (if you want to consider it an honor) revolves more around learning that Davina could actually figure out a way to bring Kol back into this world:
“After discovering that he’s been betrayed by his own siblings, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) teams up with an unlikely ally and sets off on a warpath, hell bent on revenge. Amidst the news that Klaus is on the loose, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) move forward with their plan to lure Dahlia (guest star Claudia Black) to the compound and take her down once and for all.
“Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) attempt to escape through the flooded bayou, even as Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) finds himself hunted by a dangerous new threat. Finally, Davina (Danielle Campbell) is presented with an offer that could allow her the chance to bring back Kol, though it will require her to make a life-altering decision.”
Of course, the question that we are wondering is this: Which Kol are we talking about here, the Daniel Sharman or Nathaniel Buzolic version? We’d be happy with either, but it still hasn’t felt like Buzolic has had the time he deserves with this show.

he will be back soon.. i hope so.. I think that Nate will be Kol. Davina says something like “you’re original face” at the last episode. So I think there is still hope for Kol aka Nate to come back!

Also considering how Rebekah felt about not kissing Marcel when Eva was alive and how they explored what happened with Vincent post-body possession, it wouldn’t make sense with what they established to resurrect Kol in his non-body again. It’s very possible he could be resurrected as a mortal witch but in original body (Kol did mention he was a witch prodigy as a mortal.)

I’m pretty confident Daniel Sharman is done for good considering he was cast as the lead for the LFE pilot which shoots in NYC. The writers seemed to not be trolling for once and imply he’s done for good.
