‘Madam Secretary’ episode 21 preview: When will Tea Leoni, cast return to CBS?

Are you ready for the story to intensify on “Madam Secretary“? By this, we are of course asking whether or not you are prepared for a potentially epic season 1 finale that could close the door on Elizabeth’s story (at least for now), while creating some interesting possibilities for what the second season could be about. While it does feel like there is a particular shelf life on this show, given that most people only serve in this office for around four years before shifting it over to someone else, there is definitely still at least another couple of seasons’ worth of content left to go. CBS has already renewed the drama for the fall.

So why is there no episode airing on CBS next week? It is as simple as this: The Academy of Country Music Awards air on the network April 19, which means that it will be April 26 in order to see Tea Leoni and the cast back in action. The final two episodes of the show will then air, with the finale coming in early May.

Unfortunately, we cannot pass along much in the way of details at this time, and for one very-simple reason: There is no synopsis or official photos yet. We will probably get these at some point over the course of the days ahead, and we will be happy to share them as they come out.

The only thing that we can speculate on for the time being is that most likely, the biggest challenges of Elizabeth’s career lie ahead.
