‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Could we still see more Claire Holt?

The funny thing about “The Originals” is that ultimately no matter what happens, no character is ever fully gone from this world. The great thing about this is that it does open up a variety of possibilities to see people back … even if you cannot think in your head that there is any logical way to see that happen.

With that in mind, let’s go ahead and bring you some of the latest news when it comes to Claire Holt. Speaking in a new interview with E! News, she explains that even though she is busy with a new show in “Aquarius,” she says that “when [she] can, [she is] going to venture back to that world.” Of course, the real question here for now is mostly just what exactly she can bring to that world given that her body is merely that at the moment. Rebekah has a new vessel in Eva Sinclair (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), who has gone through a bit of an identity crisis in recent weeks.

We suppose that one obvious possibility to bring back Holt always exists in flashbacks. It is an easy way to recruit her back into this world whenever the writers can, and there is still plenty of material that can be mined from her centuries of history.

With all of this being said, we’d be surprised to see her again this season. When you remember everything that is going on at the moment with Dahlia’s impending invasion, there is not going to be much in the way of free time.
