‘Jane the Virgin’ episode 18 preview: Rafael’s surprise; Jane’s new mission
How will “Jane the Virgin” end its first season? We don’t think that you are going to get a firm answer to that in the immediate future, but you should at least get a chance to see some of what happens next with her and Rafael as they start to deal with some newest crises, whether it be the hotel losing a liquor license or trying to prepare for an Easter celebration. (Yep, Easter is coming a week late for this show.)
Also, there’s some mama drama! Who should be shocked that a disapproving mother is entering the fray here? Here’s the answer: No one at all should be that shocked. This is just what happens on a show that loves to put its characters in awkward situations. Take a look at the synopsis for “Chapter Eighteen” below:
“Jane (Gina Rodriguez) unintentionally ruins Rafael’s (Justin Baldoni) chances of getting the hotel’s liquor license back, but her attempt to help fix it means missing the Villanueva’s Easter festivities. Rafael gets information about his birth mother from the private detective he has hired, but doesn’t like what he hears. Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) mother, Sofia (Rita Morena), comes for a visit but she and Xo (Andrea Navedo) do not have the best history. Alba (Ivonne Coll) takes a big step in the romance arena, but is shocked when she learns what Edward (guest star Cheech Marin) does for a living. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) becomes more convinced about the secret she thinks she has stumbled upon and enlists Michael’s (Brett Dier) help to get confirmation.”

What would I like to see in next episode…Ralphael getting a break. Every episode lately has him dealing with so much crap. Can’t everyone cut him slack.
