‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 19 preview: Jonny Lee Miller and a different sort of hackers
We really want to assume that next week’s new episode of “Elementary” was inspired by “Hackers.” It is one of our favorite films of the era, and it also happens to be one of our first discoveries of Jonny Lee Miller alongside “Trainspotting.” Maybe we are just going to assume this because it makes us feel a little bit happier on the inside to do so.
This episode features a murders within a complicated group of hackers, and what happens here ultimately divides them into factions. Given the technical skill these people have to inflict mass chaos, let’s just say that these are typically the sort of people you want to keep happy. Holmes and Watson probably have their work cut out for them, mostly since this particular Miller character does not possess anywhere near the hacking skill he did in that famous feature film.
If you have not seen the synopsis for this episode just yet, take a look at it below right now:
“Holmes and Watson find themselves in the middle of a civil war being fought on the Internet when a member of Everyone, the anonymous hacker group they periodically work with, is murdered.”
Yes, the synopsis is strictly a regurgitation, and CBS is not giving a whole lot away about this story in advance. We’re in many ways all right with this, at least provided that the story that they do give us is twisted and entertaining. Given that this is an “Elementary” episode, is there really another way that the show could go with this?

Season 3 has been worth waiting for. There seems to be a return to the original vibe of Season 1, only better. The evolvement of the Sherlock/Joan relationship has a great deal to do with it. From the comments I’ve read, many of the fans want to see more crime solving in the episodes. That’s okay. However I would prefer to see more of Sherlock & Joan interacting (always smart & entertaining). Elementary is the most intelligent and unique show on television!
