‘Big Brother Canada 3’ review: Bad move with a B
Eventually, we are going to be tired of telling the Sindy jokes on “Big Brother Canada,” but we’re not there yet! It’s hard not to pile on Sindy after she was front and center for one of the biggest blunders since Chef Joe started talking smack about Dan Gheesling to his own face in season 14.
What happened? It’s as simple as this: She started talking about getting rid of Kevin while Kevin was in the bathroom! How does nobody check this? It’s such a simple, obvious mistake for someone to make, since Kevin took that little bone and ran with it, convincing the men that all of the women in the house are out to get them. Specifically, he used paranoid Graig to do what he does best (run around like a headless chicken), and then exaggerated to Bobby to make it look like his name was the one running the most rampant in the house, even if that was not 120% the case. Smart moves by Kevin all around that helped to seal Sindy’s fate.
Granted, the better move for Kevin would have been to put up Naeha, making certain that her alliance with her Brittnee, and Sarah is split. Sindy will always be an easier target since she fares well in competitions, while the other three women are more under the radar.
As for some of the other antics from tonight’s episode…
1. Did Bobby eat Ashleigh’s face off during spin the bottle? Our favorite moment of this was Bruno and Graig staying as far away from these shenanigans as humanly possible.
2. The Power of Veto competition regarding beavers and a word scramble was hardcore. It was legitimately tough, since it contained a physical component, a puzzle, and a challenge in extremely cold water. One of the best Veto competitions we’ve seen.
3. The good news for Jordan is that the “ranking the likely winners” task seemed to have no bearing on his standing in the game. It was more of a random diversion; we didn’t mind it, mostly because there was still enough time in here for strategy talk. Also, great job on Godfrey for managing to make himself look terrible in almost every single thing “voted” by the house.
Sindy and Brittnee are now on the block with the former of the two going home, and it seems to already be a slam dunk. It’s going to be a predictable week, but this was at least a fun episode. Grade: B+.
