‘Glee’ series finale: Lea Michele has no plans to sing on ‘Scream Queens,’ any other show after playing Rachel

Lea Michele -Apparently, Lea Michelle took away more than just great experiences from her time working on “Glee.” She also took away the realization that sometimes, it’s not the best thing to be singing on TV all of the time.

One of the statements Lea made while at PaleyFest for the show late Friday night was that she does not want to sing on TV anymore. Why is that? While at first you may think that this is some sort of deliberate move so that she isn’t known as the “woman who sings on TV” for the rest of her life, it doesn’t actually seem to be that. Instead, Lea claims that this decision is to “give her voice a break,” since she is starting up work on her sophomore album soon and she would prefer to put more of her vocal focus into that.

When you think about the sheer amount of singing that she has done over the past several years, we can understand why she would want to break away from it. Before “Glee,” she was a part of Broadway, and even during the show she did concert tours with the cast, performances on other TV shows, and much more. That has to be very tiring on your voice after a while.

The good thing for Lea is that she’s going to have a chance to really try something new on “Scream Queens,” Ryan Murphy’s next series on Fox starring Lea alongside Emma Roberts (featured in a new trailer), Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, and many more. This is a show that will combine elements of comedy with horror, so it should be a very different sort of experience than anything she’s done as Rachel.

“Glee” will end with its series finale on Friday night, and Lea will sing during that! This was recorded, luckily for her, many weeks ago.
