‘The Flash,’ ‘The Originals,’ ‘Jane the Virgin,’ more CW shows receive finale dates
For all those who love The CW, there’s some great news coming out right now: The network has just confirmed the entire of their finale dates! Regardless of what show you like, you can start to plan a little bit ahead.
We’ve already announced the “Arrow” finale date in a previous article, but for the sake of this article, we’ll go ahead and add it to the schedule here, as well. The one thing that they all do have in common is that they are all airing during the month of May, which is when the network tends to air all of their biggest episodes for the sake of sweeps.
May 11 – “Jane the Virgin” and “The Originals”
May 13 – “Arrow” (if you missed it earlier)
May 14 – “The Vampire Diaries” and “Reign”
May 19 – “The Flash”
May 20 – “Supernatural”
Why is “Supernatural” ending a week after “Arrow” is? The real reason for that is because it is an episode behind it at the moment due to the two airing previously on separate nights. Given that sweeps seems to be ending this year on May 21, there’s no real issue at all with putting the show on this night. Plus, we don’t expect it to be hurt much in the ratings; this show is probably just about as independent as they come in terms of a lead-in.
We will have more news on all of these shows as we get a little closer to the end of the season, so stay tuned for that!
