‘Community’ season 6 trailer: See Paget Brewster, Keith David, more in action
Just in case you were looking for some reassurance that “Community” has not changed a whole lot over the years, we believe we have it for you right now, and courtesy of the video below.
This new trailer is the first substantial look at the show we have received from Yahoo Screen in a while, and it is a pretty perfect send-up of both the show and the upcoming “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which is probably a pretty easy movie to skewer given how mainstream it has become at this point. You also get a chance to see fuller looks at both Paget Brewster and also Keith David, who are two of the new characters signing on this time. Paget is replacing Yvette Nicole Brown, and this is in a way skewered by a Deal Pelton line in the trailer. Meanwhile, the “Enlisted” alum David is effectively a new version of Jonathan Banks, who left in order to do “Better Call Saul.”
The show looks to be just about every bit as meta as ever, but we have to say that visually, it may be even more stunning than ever before. The show has a slightly better budget on Yahoo, and also a little bit more freedom to do what they want. It is still ad-supported, which is good in that you don’t have to pay for a streaming service in order to watch it.
New episodes of the series will begin premiering starting with two on March 17. From there, we will go into having one air every week.
