‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Will issues linger with Chris Soules, Whitney Bischoff after hometown date?
For the most part, Chris Soules’ hometown date with Whitney Bischoff on “The Bachelor” went pretty well … at least other than what happened with Whitney’s sister. She was not exactly keen to bless the two being together, and we feel like there are probably a variety of reasons for that. She may be very protective of her sister given that the two do not have any parents, just as she may also be skeptical of the show and the insanity that it tends to bring to the table every season. It is hard to find real, long-lasting love out of it.
Maybe things will change for Whitney’s sister if she makes it all the way to the end, but for now, the show progresses onward to Bali, the only time the show is leaving America this season. As the synopsis below suggests, there will be some tough discussions between the two, but we also feel like there is plenty of home:
“Chris and Whitney enjoy a sensual boat ride on the Indian Ocean. They discuss her sister’s disapproval of their relationship. Will they be able to avoid this obstruction thrown in their path to love? At a romantic dinner under the stars Chris has some tough questions for Whitney. Is she going to be willing to give up her successful career in Chicago to move to tiny Arlington, Iowa? The moment of truth has arrived. Will Whitney have second thoughts about their future – and the fantasy suite?”
We feel like the show is making way too big of a deal out of Arlington, almost as if Chris is requiring any woman he picks to pack up and move there immediately. We don’t get the sense that this will actually be the case. We feel more like he wants to be near his hometown, but can be flexible. We don’t see any reason why the two cannot live just outside of Chicago, where she can commute to work and he can travel over to Iowa whenever he needs to do so (which probably does not have to be every day).
