‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 14 shocker: Show boss on major death
When you remembered that tonight’s episode of “The Originals” was the last one for many weeks, you had to assume that there was going to be a shocker or two contained within there somewhere. Well, one that we feel some people may have saw coming: The death of Kol, in this case the Daniel Sharman version of the character.
The good news for Kol here is rather simple, at least in that he got to die feeling somewhat more accepted than he ever did throughout his life. The bad news? He seemingly is not a part of the show anymore. So is he really gone? It is fair that you should ask that. Speaking in a new interview with E! News, executive producer Michael Narducci said the following about what could be coming up:
“In the wake of this departure, Rebekah [Maisie Richardson-Sellers] and Davina are both going to have an opinion about Kol’s death. In the past, we’ve seen witches die and come back, like Davina or Papa Tunde or Bastiana or Genevieve. Is there a possibility that we haven’t seen the last of Kol Mikaelson? That’s a pretty interesting question. We certainly haven’t seen the last of flashbacks that deal with Kol and his story and his family. In those ways, fans of Kol can rest assured that his story on The Originals is long from finished.”
Our feeling is that you have to get the Nathaniel Buzolic Kol back in here at some poin, but how does he get that body back? That’s a good question, and maybe we are wrong. The show has definitely shocked us before.
