Is ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6, episode 16 new tonight?
Do you love music? Well, CBS may be your perfect destination for programming Monday night. The network is running a Grammy tribute to Stevie Wonder starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Unfortunately, this is not great news for those of you who enjoy either “Scorpion” or its timeslot companion “NCIS: Los Angeles.” After all, we can confirm that neither one of these shows is going to be new tonight on CBS. They will be back with new installments next week! That will be when you will get to see Kensi and Deeks’ first fight and so much more.
It is a little bit unusual for a network to preempt some shows right in the middle of the February sweeps, but obviously the network thinks that they can get strong ratings with the Wonder special. They probably can at least turn in some solid figures, or at least some that are better than repeats. The Grammys themselves brought in more than an 8.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic when they aired a little over a week ago.
When you think about it, there really are not that many more episodes of either one of these procedurals, at least in that they will have some additional repeats at some point between now and their finales in May. Remember here that typically, networks like to be able to at least run a few installments in a row before they get to the big finale. Of course, we’ll have further news every step of the way.
