Is ‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4, episode 6 new tonight?

While we are still right in the middle of the February sweeps, The CW is making a rather curious choice when it comes to “Hart of Dixie” tonight: There is not a new episode on the air. Instead, we have the movie “Safety Not Guaranteed” airing starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Typically when there is a repeat, we have some sort of decent explanation for it. Often, it is due to the network wanting to stretch out a season for a certain period of time, or because of heavy competition. We don’t really see either one of these working as a genuine explanation here. There is nothing that competitive on TV Friday, and given that this is February, isn’t this when you want to air new episodes?

Regardless of our clueless behavior, “Alabama Boys” will be the next new episode coming on the air in a week’s time, and it should continue the momentum of everything we saw during last week’s episode. Zoe and Wade are going to continue trying to play to be parents, while at the same time Lemon and Lavon try to figure things out for themselves. Moving beyond this, we would also say to expect George and AnnaBeth continue trying to figure out if there is anything between the two of them after Lemon got those wheels in motion.
