‘The Following’ season 3 spoilers: First details on premiere ‘New Blood’

What comes ahead on “The Following”? Fox has released a few different updates on the show so far, but the season premiere on March 2 looks to contain quite a few twists and turns. The biggest thing to remember here is that Joe Carroll may seemingly be gone, but that does not even remotely mean that he will be completely out of Ryan Hardy’s mind. How do you forget about someone like this?

If there is a distraction for Kevin Bacon’s character in the premiere, it’s that he will be able to focus on something else that is equally, if not more, terrible. We’re not quite sure that this is the distraction that he really wanted. Fox just released the first synopsis for the premiere “New Blood,” and you can see that below:

“With Joe Carroll awaiting execution on death row and all signs of his following erased, Ryan Hardy has moved on from the dark events of his past. But his newfound happiness is shattered when a series of brutally staged tableaus threatens to tear open old wounds. Ryan and his team are forced to unravel a twisted web of violence before it destroys them all – leading them to face a terrifying truth: Joe Carroll was just the beginning.”

Just in case you hate waiting, then be prepared to get another episode right after this one! Fox is staging this as a two-hour premiere, which means that you’ll get a chance to dive into the story almost right away.
