‘The Americans’ season 3 spoilers: Margo Martindale to return as Claudia

While you may have predicted that this news was coming, that does not make it any less exciting!

According to a new report coming in right now via TVLine, Margo Martindale is going to be coming back on board “The Americans” this season in the role of Claudia, the former supervisor for Philip and Elizabeth within the KGB. This move was probably cultivated almost from the moment that it was revealed that “The Millers” was canceled pretty early during production into its second season. Her schedule freed up, and given her role here in the past and on “Justified,” it is pretty clear that there is a heck of a lot of respect out there for her talent.

What will Claudia’s role on the show be this time? That’s hard to say, but we really hope at the moment is that this part somehow manages to be enough to convince a few hundred thousand more people to actually watch the show live. Despite being one of the better and even still underrated shows on TV, it never gives enough buzz. It also doesn’t get the ratings that it deserves. While we know that FX is high on it and wants to see it continue for a long time, we imagine that they would also like to see it be a little bit more successful in the process. Isn’t that always nice?
