Could a ‘Mad Men’ season 7 promo debut soon?

Who doesn’t love “Mad Men“? Well, at least we know that lovers of the 1960s, fashion, and wonderful acting and writing are all on board AMC’s opus of a series. We have been avoiding the fact that the final seven episodes are near for some time, but we are getting near the point where that is now unavoidable.

With that in mind, we now raise the following question: Is it possible that we could actually see a new promo for season 7, episode 8 in the near future? We would certainly think so, given that the series filmed a long time ago, and they most likely have the footage edited and ready to go at this point. We feel like the only reason for the wait is first and foremost for Emmy nominations, and for Sunday nights to be less occupied with zombies and talking about zombies.

You cannot hate on the zombies too much, though, since we imagine that “The Walking Dead” will eventually end up being the place where we really get our first significant sense of the new “Mad Men” campaign. It is only fitting that we call it that given the nature of the show, and also that their promos never give away anything. As a matter of fact, it is more likely that they will have filmed something completely separate (like we saw with the airport last year), and air that – teasing what is coming up without showing you anything from the season.

We’d be shocked if the first promo for the show’s April 5 return does not air over the course of the next month. AMC has a perfect platform, and while this show is not going to get anywhere near “The Walking Dead” or “Breaking Bad” numbers, they surely want to get some decent ratings as the end nears.
