‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Jensen Ackles’ Dean versus … computers?

Every now and then we love to have imaginary caption contests about TV promotional photos … which we are starting to realize is pretty weird now that we are actually writing it out.

Still, there are ripe possibilities courtesy of the attached image here from next week’s new “Supernatural” episode entitled “Halt and Catch Fire.” This image of Dean (Jensen Ackles) almost reminds us of that scene from “Zoolander” when Derek and Hansel try to realize what the phrase “in the computer” really means. We think Dean could destroy that flatscreen in about a tenth of the time it took Ben Stellar to do anything to that blocky old computer! Old references aside, Dean has a reason to be investigating this closely, since this episode is going to be a mystery revolving around deadly ghosts and electricity … which we realize more than ever is a very strange combination now that we are actually seeing it written out.

We’re not really getting a whole lot of indications at the moment that this is anything but a standalone episode of the CW series, but it is not like we really mind that so much. We are mostly just grateful to have something about ghosts again, since it’s been a while since this particular entity graced the show.

With this coupled with the title being a reference to one of our favorite new shows of the year, we really don’t think that we have to sell too much just how excited we are to see this particular story play out.
