‘Madam Secretary’ episode 14 spoilers: ‘Mad Man’ star poised to appear

We have teased a few times now that the March 1 return of “Madam Secretary” is entitled “Whisper of the Ax,” but isn’t it nice to know a few other details to go along with that? We like to think so, which is why we come here today bearing the gift of some additional information!

Specifically, we are speaking in terms of guest stars. We enjoyed him very much as Ted on “Mad Men,” and it is with that in mind we are extremely pleased to learn that Kevin Rahm is also going to be appearing here in a role that sounds almost like a fixer-of-sorts. He is not the only guest star appearing in this episode, though, as the synopsis below reveals:

“Elizabeth is humiliated at a public budget hearing when her staff fails to find the corruption that exists in her microloan program. Also, the investigation into Marsh’s death continues, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, March 1 (8:01-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Kevin Rahm guest stars as Michael Barnow, a special consultant Elizabeth hires to help with the budget hearing fiasco. Journalist Martin Bashir appears as himself.”

In many ways, we have been feeling rather excited to see what a variety of the different actors from “Mad Men” would be doing on TV moving forward. While the show has been over for a little while now in terms of its production, what we have seen for the most part here is the cast deciding that it was going to try out a variety of different projects, and not all of them involve the small screen. For example, Elisabeth Moss is doing stage work.
