‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12 spoilers: The next step before series finale

The series finale of “Two and a Half Men” is going to air in a number of weeks, but how are we getting there? We have some of the latest news on that subject so lets dive right in.

While the February 12 episode entitled “Don’t Give a Monkey a Gun” is not necessarily the penultimate episode of the series on paper, it may as well be for a number of different reasons. After all, this is the second-to-last week to feature a new episode, since the final two episodes are going to air on February 19. Also, this particular installment seems to conclude a story that has been in the works since the very start of this season. Take a look at the just-released synopsis courtesy of CBS:

“After they sign their divorce papers, Walden offers Alan the gift of his choice, but when Alan chooses something selfish and impractical, it puts his relationship with Lyndsey on the line.”

Does this mean that the adoption of Louis is finalized? It may be a little too early to say that, but we know that this is what Walden was waiting on before making the move to end his falsified marriage. For the time being, it seems like Alan’s priorities have at least somewhat shifted, as well. Just when it seems like he is starting to get his life back in order with Lyndsey, he may have found a way to screw it up.

For those wondering, Maggie Lawson will return in this episode as Ms. McMartin … and so will Michael Bolton? Surprising, but seemingly true.
