‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 13 video: Rocky Carroll directs himself
We knew that Rocky Carroll was going to be directed Tuesday night’s “NCIS” episode entitled “We Build, We Fight,” but we had not seen a whole lot of evidence of him having to direct himself … at least not until we watched the new sneak peek below.
The introduction in this scene is interesting enough, given the way in which Gibbs, Vance, and Hollis all introduce one another. It’s like the world’s most stale roll call imaginable. From here, Vance proceeds to lay out the situation for Mark Harmon’s character when it comes to the main story of this episode. They are trying to do whatever they can in order to solve what happened to a serviceman who was in consideration for the Medal of Honor. The fact that this man happened to be gay raises suspicion as to whether or not a hate crime was involved. Hollis and the DoD have spent much of the past couple of weeks vetting him to ensure that he was a perfect candidate.
We expect this to be a pretty powerful and at times emotional episode, and Carroll was fortunate to receive this sort of quality material to work with.
Yes, we do know that there is also a lighter story in this episode, as well, and it is one that revolves a little more about whether or not Jimmy Palmer is ready to become a father for the first time. Ultimately, this is something that we should have some further scoop on when we get a little closer to the episode airing.
