‘Mad Men’ season 7: Jon Hamm to show his funnier side on ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Netflix series
Ever since wrapping “Mad Men,” most of Jon Hamm’s TV work has come within the realm of comedy. This does not particularly shock us. He spent nearly a decade playing an extremely dramatic man in Don Draper, and it would only make sense for him to want to show off more of his comedic sensibility. After all, this is a man who we’ve already come to know for making us laugh.
As mentioned in the title, Hamm is specifically heading next to the upcoming Netflix revival of “Wet Hot American Summer.” According to Deadline, the actor is going to be playing a potential “camp spy” when the eight-part limited series airs on the streaming service. He is joining some other new additions, which include Kristen Wiig, Christ Pine, and many more. This cast already included Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Amy Poehler, and even Hamm’s “Mad Men” co-star John Slattery. Head over here to see more on this cast, since it may be the largest and most impressive grouping of famous people that we’ve ever seen.
Hamm has appeared already on multiple episodes of “Parks and Recreation” in the past year and a half, and has a schedule coming up that is shrouded at least somewhat in mystery. After all, he has already wrapped up filming “Mad Men,” so there is not necessarily any set plan for what could be happening with him moving forward.
Of course, we are going to have further updates when it is known!
