Conan O’Brien gets Marshawn Lynch, Rob Gronkowski to play ‘Mortal Kombat X’

The video below -While Marshawn Lynch may not be a fan of speaking in press conferences (other than saying that he’s at Super Bowl Media Day to avoid getting fined by the NFL), he apparently has no problem at all trying to kick Rob Gronkowski’s butt in “Mortal Kombat X.”

For the latest chapter in his “Clueless Gamer” series (which is something that has always been a favorite of ours, mostly to highlight the star’s own incompetence when it comes to technology), Conan O’Brien has brought on the Seattle Seahawks running back and the famed New England Patriots tight end in order to face off in a very different sort of battleground. Think of this as a precursor to the big game itself, minus the deflated footballs and the questions about whether or not Lynch will be fined for wearing his Beast Mode hat.

This video, while pretty brief (the full version airs Thursday on TBS), is also pretty darn funny. Our top highlight of it is Conan saying that his erratic behavior is brought on mostly by the medication Liptor, and then seeing him have to try to explain to both of the other guys just what Lipitor is. Gronk seems to believe that it’s something that you need to call your doctor about after four hours.

While we’re far from the biggest sports guy, there is a little bit of fun that comes out of seeing athletes trying to do something that is so out of their element … and the week of the Super Bowl, this tends to happen much more than you would think courtesy of all the shenanigans that unfold.
