‘Jane the Virgin’ episode 12 preview: Does Jane have her big break?

Is there a big chance that some big developments ahead on “Jane the Virgin“? Based on the information that we have now, it definitely seems like it. “Chapter 12” could be another all-important episode for this show, and one of the reasons we feel like this one could be even more special is for one simple reason: Timing. When a new show first gets going, it received an order of around 13 episodes or so to find its place in the world. This is precisely how much time the Gina Rodriguez series had from the get-go, and if things didn’t work out in the ratings, it would be canceled.

Therefore, we have to at least assume that this show is one that was written specifically with it in mind that it may be near the end of the season, and it needed to be big. the synopsis below definitely gives us that impression:

“Jane (Gina Rodriguez) gets a big break in her career, but it all seems too good to be true, especially when it involves Rogelio (Jaime Camil). Rafael (Justin Baldoni) is stressed about Sin Rostro’s connection to the hotel and begins to fear for his family’s safety. Meanwhile, Petra’s (Yael Grobglas) past is quickly catching up with her and she is disheartened when she learns the truth about someone very close to her.”

Luckily, there is not a reason to worry about Jane and company now, given that the show was picked up already for a second season. With that in mind, we’re curious to see what the implications of Jane’s big break are going to be in the long-term.
